Первое, о чем вас спросят, когда вы войдете в японский ресторан в Японии – это “何名様” – nan mei sama = сколько людей?
Вы думаете, что сможете просто посчитать, загибая пальцы и сказать “一 ichi = one/один” or “二 ni = two/два” употребляя эти числа со словом “人 nin = people/люди”.
Но нет! Вы должны будете сказать 一人 hitori (for one person/если один человек), или 二人 futari (for two people/если 2 человека)!
Ну а после этого вам, возможно, станет легче:
三人 = san nin = 3 people
四人= yonin = 4 people
五人= go nin = 5 people
六人= roku nin = 6 people
七人= shichi nin = 7 people
八人= hachi nin = 8 people
九人= kyuu nin = 9 people
十人 = jyuu nin = 10 people…

Of course to make it more fun I’ve included lots of 侍 - samurai! You might of heard of 七人の侍= shichi nin no samurai = 7 samurai the famous movie?
So remember the song and impress your friends when you walk into a Japanese restaurant. Just don’t say “no samurai” afterwards, they’d just throw you out for being cheeky! ; )
The only other word in the song is ” いるよ - i ru yo” which sort of means “there are”. But don’t worry about that for now, it’s mainly just there to balance the lyrics of the song up. © genkienglish.net
